Hello and welcome to our site! We are a husband and wife team that make laser made home decor and personalized gifts!
How did you get started with this business?
I am an Independent Hairstylist and in March of 2020 the state shut down the salons because of Covid. I wasn't able to work in the salon and we didn't have any clue of when we would be able to go back. One day I was scrolling through Facebook and I saw a laser machine on an ad called the Glowforge Pro and told Ryan that it looked pretty cool. I had a Cricut vinyl cutting machine already and enjoyed learning and crafting. I wasn't sure when I would be able to go back to work, so we decided to take a leap of faith and order this machine to make some extra money. My plan was to make some things for my close friends and family and the more I made things I started to really enjoy it! I figured with this new machine and the time that I was at home I could learn the software and how-to's and hopefully have most of it figured out by the time I went back to the salon. After the first year, we had kept really busy with solid orders coming in and decided to upgrade our laser machine to the Mira 9! This was a bigger, faster and a lot better machine to have allowing us to do more! During that summer we got our first big wholesale order to make tumblers for our local county fair for their 150th anniversary and we realized that this is definitely a business we enjoyed! Our Mira 9 took 7 months to finally get here and we have loved it!
Spring of 2024 we got a trailer, renovated it and it is now our "trailer boutique!" You can read more about that in the "trailer boutique" section on our website. Around the same time we upgraded our hat press and got a dual platen hat press 112 edition so it works perfectly for the Richardson 112's that our customers love. This, along with our trailer has made it perfect to start our Hat Bar. People can choose their hat color, leather hat patch and watch us apply it!
Spring of 2025 we added a new machine! This little machine is portable which means we can bring it with to our shows and events and do things on the spot if we are able!
We are so excited to watch our home based business grow and so thankful for our close friends, my clients, Ryan's coworkers, our family, people in our community and surrounding communities that have supported our business.
Our Family
We have 10 acres in rural Minnesota where Ryan and I both grew up and enjoy raising our two boys who are 11 and 9. We keep ourselves very busy with the boy's sports during the week. They are in football, basketball and baseball. I have been an Independent Hairstylist for 21 years and have created a wonderful clientele that I enjoy seeing and making them feel their best! Ryan is an operator at Neo Electrical and has been there for 6 years. During the Summer we love going up to our cabin where we can relax and take in all of the outdoor scenery.
